My name is Alex Sansone, the founder of FORMAT. I've been a filmmaker since the age of 13. I have always remembered cameras being expensive.

The SMALLFORMAT Primes are camera lenses universally adapted to smartphone cameras. The word "prime" means fixed focal length. Typically prime lenses are known for their fast aperture to achieve depth of field - a term used to describe the creamy blur sought after by professional photographers. SMALLFORMAT Primes are designed to give users the experience of using a traditional film camera.
